For this project, we had to pick a world problem like hunger or war and try to help fix it in some way. Since we live in California and we love it here, we decided to help fix one of its biggest problems, the drought. This project was big on teamwork and hardwork. We thought up many many ideas but came up with one that would be more convenient for us to make, a no water dry shampoo. This way, you wouldn't have to waste water while in the shower and have an easier and faster time while showering. First, we did lots and lots of research on the drought and wrote it down in a google document. Then, we brainstormed the best solutions and we had so many. Next, we picked the dry shampoo solution and pursued it as best we could. Finally, we made a product of the shampoo using baking soda and corn starch.

Engineering design cycle - 1. define the problem 2. do background research 3. specify requirements 4. brainstorm solutions 5. choose best solution 6. do development work 7. build a prototype 8. test and redesign
Gravity - the force that attracts an object towards the center to the Earth. It's calculated by dividing velocity by time. On Earth, gravity is 9.8 meters per second squared.

Reflection
This project took a lot of time and nervousness. In the end, we made a great product and had a great time. My group consisted of me, Ashok, Matt, and Nathan. We are all friends so it was great because we connected so well and it was never awkward but this also led to distractions and not using our time the best we could. I still think we did pretty well. The entire project went well except for when we came to our solution. We didn't know how to make the dry shampoo so that led to a lot of thinking and collaboration. I learned a lot about the drought and many ways we could fix it. I also learned that fixing problems is a passion of mine or at least trying to fix problems. I could've been more focused throughout the whole project and brought more ideas to the table. Some high moments of our project was our notes. Out of the four of us, we had about eight pages of notes which means we all did pretty much two full pages. We knew a lot about the drought and that helped us find the best solution we could. Another high is our final product. We didn't think the dry shampoo that we were going to make was going to be helpful in any way but after making and testing it we found it worked as well as normal shampoo. Some lows of the project was our group focus level. We weren't focused all the time and could have organized our time better but that is how it is sometimes with teenage boys. I cannot think of another pit of our project is because we had an all around good time. This project taught me a lot about the importance of the drought and even how a dry shampoo helps just a little bit but still helps. Projects like these a very interesting and I am glad to be a part of doing one.
