For this project, we looked more in depth in to the bodie's systems. My group and I specifically looked at the digestive and excretory systems. We learned basically all about our two systems and how they work independently, as well as together. The digestive system breaks down food into smaller molecules that can be passed to the cells that need them. The excretory system discharges waste made by homeostasis through fluids like sweat, urine, or CO2. They work together in various ways. The digestive system has a large intestine that removes water from excess food waste. The excretory system has the kidney that useswater to help remove wastes from blood.

Physics Concepts
Mouth - Saliva in the mouth begins to digest carbohydrates when the food is chewed
Small Intestine - Absorbs nutrients and minerals from the food through chemical digestion
Large Intestine - Absorbs water from remaining indigestible food matter
Stomach - Thydrocholic acids in the stomach kill bacteria, enzymes break down proteins, and muscles churn and mix food
Esophagus - Muscles push down food into your stomach
Kidneys - uses water to help remove waste from excess foods
Lungs - oxygen can pass in to the blood and CO2 be removed.

Reflection
This project was my favorite we have done this year. Our goal was to build a model to show how two systems worked together. Our systems were digestive and excretory. Something that went poorly was that we didn't start building until the second to last day. We thought a lot about what we were going to do which isn't a bad thing because it ended up so well. I think that our presentation and our physical model were very good. They were straightfoward and understandable. On the model, it is easy to see what is happening as long as we explain it. I could've done better on the model, but I wasn't there on the day that we did the most work so I was set back. I learned that bology is not going to be my focus in life and I don't want to pursue it that much in the future. Honestly, there were very few pits for this project. Our project turned out very well and I don't think there was a super low point. A peak is our final product. I enjoyed this project and learned an abundant amount about body systems.
